Parent Survey for our Reporting Pilot Project

Dear Parent(s) and/or Guardian(s):

Re: Student Reporting Policy Pilot Survey Information

During this school year, your child(ren) have been participating in the Ministry of Education’s Student Reporting Policy Pilot (SRPP). Your child’s e-portfolio and conferences have all been part of this Pilot in our district.

The Ministry of Education is asking the fourteen districts participating in the SRPP to request that parents complete a short survey that will help them and us understand how this Pilot is progressing in BC. Please use the following link, or the QR code at the bottom of this letter to access and complete the survey. All information you provide is confidential and, as such, we ask that you do not provide any personal details in any of the comment spaces. The Survey will be open between May 6th and May 24th.

As a district, we would also like your child(ren) participating in the Student Reporting Policy Pilot (SRPP) to answer a short survey. The student answers will give us a sense of what they are experiencing through participation in the Pilot. Again, all information remains confidential.

Participating in the Pilot has enabled us to take a more personal approach with both parents and students. In Richmond, we believe that Communicating Student Learning through the Student Reporting Policy Pilot is a meaningful way to provide you with information about your child’s learning, and we look forward to your responses.

If you have questions, or need assistance in completing the survey, please contact your school’s principal. Thank you in advance for your participation.

Yours truly,

Lynn Archer

Assistant Superintendent
