Halloween Plans at Thompson

Monday, October 31st

Spooky Drop In at 8:00 am

We will be having a special Halloween spooky Drop In at 8:00 am in the gym. This will give students and staff an opportunity to share costumes with each other and enjoy a light breakfast snack as well as get some physical activity before the start of school

Family Teams Pumpkin Carving - 10:45 - 12:00

This activity will take place in the gym. Students will be working in their family teams to carve pumpkins which will be put on display in the afternoon.  To participate in the carving.

Students are asked to bring the following:

One small CLEANED OUT pumpkin on Monday, October 31st.  Please clean the pumpkin out from the BOTTOM, so that it is easy to place lights inside.  Students must be able to carry their pumpkin to and from school by themselves. Please label your child’s pumpkin with their name and division on a piece of masking tape.
A proper pumpkin carving tool (please see picture).  These can be bought at most dollar stores.  NO KNIVES ARE TO BE BROUGHT TO SCHOOL!!!

Sppoky Halloween Display

Grade 7 student leaders have worked hard to put together a spooky halloween display on the stage.  After lunch students will be lead through the display by student leaders.  We are encouraging all students to bring non-perishable to support the Richmond Food Bank. Donations will be made as students enter the display.

We are looking forward to a spooktacular day!
