Professional Development Day - November 30th / New Curriculum Implementation Days

We will be having a professional development day on Monday, November 30th.  Staff will be attending the first of three sessions with Faye Brownlee and break out workshops with colleagues from around the district.

Curriculum Implementation Days
The Ministry of Education has declared that there will be two additional professional learning days for all public school teachers in BC to study and discuss the new provincial curriculum.  In Richmond, senior administration in consultation with the Richmond Teachers' Association have selected Friday, January 291 and Monday, May 22 as the dates for the two days of non-instructional time to support curriculum implementation.  Students will not be in attendance on these days,  and teachers and staff will be engaged in studying and planning to implement curriculum changes.

Please read the attached letter from Superintendent Monica Pamer regarding these two days (letter available in English and Chinese).
